Canadian AI™ and Solarion AI™ Begin Early Development of Compute Passport™ for Enterprise AI Agent Identity
Joint initiative will explore identity, accountability, access governance and auditable activity records for AI agents operating across enterprise environments.
TORONTO, Canada — August 21, 2026 — Canadian AI™, operated by Canadian AI Software Inc., and Solarion AI™, operated by Solarion AI Inc., today announced the early development of Compute Passport™, an enterprise technology initiative designed to explore a structured identity and accountability layer for artificial intelligence agents.
Compute Passport™ is being developed around a fundamental enterprise requirement: as AI agents gain the ability to access systems, interact with data, use tools and execute actions, organizations need a reliable way to establish what each agent is, who or what it represents, what it is authorized to access and what it has done.
The initiative brings together Canadian AI™'s work in responsible enterprise AI adoption with Solarion AI™'s development of AI identity infrastructure and Compute Passport™.
Giving every AI agent an identity
Enterprise AI is evolving from systems that primarily generate information toward agents capable of performing increasingly complex tasks across organizational environments.
This creates a new identity challenge. Traditional enterprise identity infrastructure was largely designed around human users, applications, service accounts and devices. AI agents introduce a new class of digital actor that may operate autonomously, interact with multiple systems and perform actions on behalf of organizations or individuals.
Compute Passport™ is being designed to explore an identity layer specifically for this emerging environment.
The Compute Passport™
The early architecture is centered around four foundational capabilities:
Unique ID — Tracking — Audit — Report
Each registered AI agent could receive a persistent Compute Passport™ identity containing information required to establish its organizational context and governance status.
The system is being designed to support capabilities including agent identification, ownership and sponsorship records, system and application relationships, authorization context, activity logging, lifecycle status, governance evidence and audit reporting.
The objective is not to replace existing enterprise identity and access management, cybersecurity or governance platforms. Compute Passport™ is being designed as an identity and accountability layer for AI agents that can complement existing enterprise infrastructure.
From AI inventory to AI accountability
The companies are exploring an operating model that follows an AI agent throughout its enterprise lifecycle:
Register → Identify → Authorize → Operate → Track → Audit → Report → Retire
Under this model, organizations could establish a record when an AI agent enters an environment, associate the agent with an accountable owner, define its intended purpose and access context, and maintain evidence of its activities throughout its operational lifecycle.
The longer-term objective is to help organizations answer critical questions such as:
- What AI agents are operating in our environment?
- Who owns each agent?
- What systems and data can the agent access?
- What actions has it performed?
- Was the agent authorized to perform those actions?
- Can its activity be reconstructed for security, governance or audit purposes?
Enterprise integration
Compute Passport™ is being designed with interoperability as a core principle. Future development will explore integration with enterprise identity and access management, cloud platforms, AI orchestration environments, APIs, cybersecurity systems, governance platforms and audit infrastructure.
The technology is intended to complement established identity standards and enterprise controls rather than create an isolated identity ecosystem.
Responsible development
Canadian AI™ and Solarion AI™ are approaching Compute Passport™ as an early-stage technology initiative.
Development will initially focus on architecture, identity models, agent registration, activity records, governance workflows, enterprise integration and a working demonstration environment. The architecture is expected to evolve through technical development, enterprise feedback and research.
